The Fun Run is Coming!
It’s
that time again, time for the annual McDole Fun Run! Our students will be
running at school on Friday, September 21st, but the time to start collecting
donations is now!
What is the Fun Run?
The
McDole Fun Run is an outdoor run-a-thon designed just for kids! Laced with
music, a cheering squad, and prizes, this event is a fun way to get our students moving
and raise money for our school all at the same time! Funds raised
supply grade level books, support student activities and subsidize classroom
technology—every student, and teacher, benefits!
What Do I Do?
Are you travelling this weekend or
spending time with friends and family? Spread the word about the Fun Run! Donation envelopes will go
home on Tuesday, September 4th, so start thinking of who you will
ask to support you and your school as you run for funds!
What if people want to give me donations now?
If people are ready to donate now, then let
them! You are welcome
to begin collecting cash or checks (made payable to McDole PTO) right now.
Official donation forms and instructions are not available until
Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait. Online donations will also be accepted
starting on Tuesday. (Instructions will be included at that time).
Get excited!
It’s time to gear up and get excited! We know in the past few
weeks you have paid school fees, signed up for Fun Lunch and been asked to buy
Spirit Wear for your students. It gets
to be a lot for everyone. However, the funds we raise
will fund our PTO for the entire school year, so this is important. That’s why
we ask you to reach out to others. Can
you get five $10 donations from your neighbors, friends and family? That’s all
it takes to make this our biggest Fun Run ever!
